Oct. 29, 2015

So far so good on the ride up. we will go by Alijos Rocks early in the morning with what looks to be 10 to 15, knots of wind. So far on schedule for 7:00 on Sunday

Oct. 28, 2015

A few fish this morning and still looking around for a few more fish. looks like we will give it until lunch before we get going. weather looks nice up above and very nice here at the Island

Oct. 27, 2015

Not quite like yesterday but we still scratched 33 tuna and a little shot late on fish up to 190 pounds.  Good sign just a little touchy with this full moon. One more half a day tomorrow and heading up

Much slower here this morning with 26 tuna and some of that is small fish. We still had sign but it didn't bite. maybe this afternoon

Oct. 26, 2015

Great day today with 62 tuna. All nice grade from 70 to 90 pounds with fish mixed in over 100 pounds Dave dragged this 230 through the sharks late. We did have a couple other chances but the sharks made it tough. Classic buffer zone day.

Dress up day for Halloween.

Oct. 25, 2015

We had a nice shot on these 60 to 90 pound fish with a few hundred plus pounders mixed in explosive action with everyone has one on type fishing. Ending the day with 86 tuna.

Pretty tough in the Buffer zone not much to show for the day. We have about 40 tuna with a few decent fish up to 100 pounds but a lot of sharks and small fish

Oct. 24, 2015

One nice fish here this morning right at 200 pounds. We picked off a few more tuna last night after dinner but so random it didn't spark much interest. This morning just a few decent fish and some small fish that we released. We are headed in to take a look at the Buffer zone and see what is going on there. We will be there first thing In the morning.

Oct. 23, 2015

We picked a few more fish, but really disappointed with one at a time throughout the day. long day with 20 tuna and 8 wahoo. Conditions were really good today. Can't blame it on conditions just not much fish around

Really slow with just a couple decent tuna and a few wahoo after the morning bite. We picked 11 fish this morning that were all pretty good grade. Dan Sutherland with a fish just over 200 and several others in the mid to high hundreds.  Steve Seigfreid with his personal best , about 160 pounds

Oct. 22, 2015

We continued to hook fish after dark and ended the day with 41, tuna. pretty good day and looking forward to it again tomorrow

Bobby with a decent fish on the Accurate.  So far I can't say I am all that impressed with this. It definitely has potential just need the conditions to straighten out. We are hoping for a little shot before dark and we have scratched 28 tuna as of now

Ken with a nice fish about 210 and Allan with one close to two hundred. We have picked 20 tuna by lunch time and really there is no current.  Maybe a slight uphill current but not much. Hopefully we get some condition and the fish activate

First fish of the trip for Allan Babashof. Unfortunately that was it for the morning, no current so far . We just got here though

Oct. 21, 2015

Today is the rigging day. We had a tuna seminar this morning and went over a few things. We are starting at the Bank and have another full day of travel

Oct. 19, 2015

We spent the day getting the boat gear rigged up, we had a spring cleaning and brought the Accurate 80 kite gear out of hibernation.

Oct. 10, 2015

Not much to speak of with a couple Dorado and some small tuna released this evening. Headed South tonight and be on the beach tomorrow

Pretty pathetic here today with very little yellowtail in the morning and kelps with no fish in the afternoon. I guess it can only get better. We aren't skunked!

Pretty poor this morning, Very little sign of Yellowtail.  We bailed out and are headed offshore. Hopefully a line of kelps are on our bow but not much yet.

Oct. 7, 2015

Well all and all we put together a decent day today got to the bank about 6:15 and found a ball of Yellowtail and started hooking fish right away but got over run by these little guys... Sierra mackerel we ended up keeping 30 and tossed about the same back and we got a few Yellows and 2 tuna to go along with them so not to shabby I'd say. well we're working up and plan to look at a few hard bottom areas in the morning and that puts us at an island for the afternoon so I'll check back tomorrow morning

Oct. 6, 2015

Slow morning today but we had a little bit of action for everybody one angler especially got to put the new okuma metaloid 5 to the test.. none other the Mr. Sonny Jones himself got his first sailfish with an estimated weight of 140-150# was released after a heavy duty battle on 30# that lasted about 30 minutes I want to personally thank Sonny and Okuma for bringing out a bunch of loaner gear for everyone to try. You guys are awesome and I now I'm gonna try to steal one of those 5s from sonny now thanks guys

Well guys we decided to move up to a new shallow to try we got 20 tuna a handful of Yellowtail and a few more grouper for our efforts but with these conditions changing so rapidly we decided to look elsewhere check back with you all this afternoon

Oct. 5, 2015

Dan with a good 34# fish here at sunset to end the day we had OK fishing scratching this morning we got about 68 tuna for our day a mixed bag of Yellowtail and grouper to go along with it so we will give it another go tomorrow
