Windy conditions for us today. Stayed on the anchor most of the day and picked tuna and yellowtail with just 3 wahoo. Pretty nice morning with plenty of action on ridge grade fish

Wahoo made a good showing yesterday with all day action on nice grade fish. Also had a handful of these beautiful grade yellowfin. Hopefully we can make it happen again today.

Great surprise on wahoo !!!!! Intense action on a couple of these stops and nice fish, up to 50 pounds

We had a nice first day with steady action on yellowtail. A nice start to the Blue Fin Jim memorial. Thanks Kris , again for the crab legs on the first night out. What a treat!!!!

Been picking and scratching away at the rocks the past few days. We’ve got a variety of yellowfin, yellowtail, and an occasional wahoo. The group is trying to finish up on their tuna today and then off we go to try for some surface action on yellowtail for the remainder of the trip. Richard got 3 of these big yellows last night.

Had another shot on yellowtail in the morning and then started working up. Looking offshore today for a kelp with hopefully a few Dorado.

Great finishing on a loaded up kelp with Dorado. Fast, selective action to finish the trip.

Great day of fishing Yellowtail. Flat calm weather and a steady pick from lunch time to dark. Going to fish a little in the morning before heading up the line.

Great fishing today on quality tuna. Fast paced action until lunch then another shot at wahoo before we move up.

Great day today with Big Yellowtail in the morning with a few wahoo. Most of the day was spent on the tuna with good sign of mixed grade fish. Steady action all day today.

We had a nice day yesterday. Focused on Bass fishing up the beach. Everyone had a nice relaxing day in beautiful weather. The bass fishing was very good throughout the day. Heading up the line. Going to make a cod stop this morning and then head for home

Nice day today with tuna and wahoo! Things started early in the dark on the nice grade tuna and lasted just before lunch . Another hit in the evening finished the day off nice. Had a nice shot on tuna this morning, then tried for trophy yellows at the Bank. Picked off a dozen decent fish then headed back up for a few more wahoo. Yellowtail fishing on the beach tomorrow

Had a nice day today with long drifts all day. Sinker rig with sardine was the hot setup with a few Jack pot fish mixed in.

Great fishing on the beach with nice grade yellowtail. Really good topwater action with flat calm conditions. Everyone had a chance to get in on the action. Fly line sardine, Yo-Yo jig and surface Iron. Headed up to the schooly yellowfin grounds for tomorrow. Expecting a nice ride with Northeast breeze tonight

Started out are Phenix Rods 6 day on the beach with Bobby and Ian as the reps. We located a little bit of yellowtail however it’s in a funky mood and is not biting all that great. Some action to keep everybody busy but we are now on the move to greener pastures. We did however pick off a couple seabass in the mix.

We made the trek up to the Bluefin area and were welcomed by biting fish during both daylight and nighttime hours. Fish ranged anywhere from 30 to 100+ lbs. Unfortunately we are forced to cut our trip short with the threat of Hurricane Kay approaching San Diego. Luckily the fish were eager and we made the best of it with the time that was allotted to us.

Excellent drift fishing all day on nice grade yellowfin and bluefin. Long drifts flylining on 35 to 50 pound tuna from just after daylight until dark.

Yellowfin and Bluefin this morning. Our 5 day Larry Brown charter fought it out with these nice local tuna today. As the weather comes down we will move up to the big tuna grounds for tonight

Finished off our Blue fin part of the trip with a 219 and a 214 pound tuna. Had a run on smaller fish mixed in with the big ones on a long drift.

We had a nice start to our Pelagic Sponsored 3day trip with 20 bft over 100lbs last night with 4 over 200lbs. Also a few smaller ones as well. We are spending the day time catching some yellowtail and will head back to the big tuna grounds tonight

We had another good hit on these 170 to 200lb tuna last night. We were able to capture 15 of them with a lot of chances. We’re fishing closer to home as of right now catching smaller tuna. Really nice weather and action this trip.

Nice day today with long drifts and scratch fishing. Evening and night time were best with 100 plus pound fish.

Started the morning with a bait making session. Worked our way up the beach and picked off some nice Yellowtail on various stops. Headed up and spending tomorrow looking for kelps with maybe a few dorado

Spent the day working up looking at new water down below. Not much to speak of until we got within 100 miles of SD. Released yellowtail and small dorado on various kelps in the afternoon.

Excellent day on the Ridge. Yellowtail were on the bite today. Good conditions and fast action all morning. We took off after lunch to keep heading up. Weather and fishing are great

Another nice day of fishing at Alijos. Little less action on the wahoo. Tuna fish was very good. Nice grade of fish out here this year. We are very happy with our couple of days here. Going to make a short move for some yellowtail tomorrow, sounds like there’s been pretty good action going that way as well. So far we’ve had a very nice trip.

Traveling south today. Taking the group down south in hopes of Yellowfin tuna, Wahoo and Yellowtail. Long Range trips have been experiencing great variety fishing early this year. Izorline/ Barnnet family charter are hoping to get in on the action tomorrow morning. Very nice weather so far on our route south. We will report again tomorrow.

Started off our 3 day Chuck Barnett family charter with some opportunities
on yellowfin and bluefin tuna with not much success.
Now we are fish kelps for yellowtail and dorado and are having good fishing!

no luck on a couple of kelp paddies that we found.
Weather came up and we moved into the beach
to make a better ride up.

catch a couple of Bluefin for the last afternoon of the trip

Another nice day today. Action packed on Yellowfin and nice grade Yellows until after lunch. Started heading up in good weather and making decent speed.
Tomorrow we will be offshore looking for Kelp paddies
in hope of a few more tuna and maybe a few Dorado

Very good fishing on the ridge today. The yellowtail were hitting and 18 to 30 pound tuna are on the Bank. A great surprise to see this fish show up this early. Very good conditions.

We worked our way up the beach making stops on various yellowtail fisheries. Some good surface iron action on decent yellows the last couple days. Making a short stop this morning hoping to crank in a few Rock Cod to finish the trip. We should be in around 6:00 tomorrow morning

So far a nice ride down for the McVey 8 day trip. Cool weather yesterday but should be warming up as we reach out first destination. Bait looks good and everybody and everything looks ready to go. We will start the fishing after breakfast.

Worked up the line yesterday and had more action in the evening on Yellowtail. Had some Rock Cod and Lingcod this morning and so far a couple of Dorado offshore. Good water offshore and the weather is plenty good to find something. Hopes are up and hoping to bump into some tuna this afternoon

We arrived home today from our Sonny Jones 3 day fishing adventure. As most of you are aware the fishing has been very tough for the fleet the last week. We had a lot of action but the fish just do not bite. Hopefully the upswing is soon. Certainly a lot of fish to look at and try for. Great group of folks and nice weather made it still a very nice vacation. Headed out on our @finzandfeatherzguides 3 day charter with @chadmendes and @titoortiz19999
