Today less sign of fish. We had 6 tuna, 6 yellowtail, 2 wahoo, & 4 Dorado. Weather coming up, no fish at the island went off shore. Saw good signs of 40lbs tuna under bird schools that were very squirrely. We got one 40lbs tuna and they would not let us get over top of them. So that is something to look at for the future. We are heading up to the island to shoot for some yellowtail before we head off shore if weather permits.
Sept. 28, 2015 Fish report from the Red Rooster III, reported by the RRIII office: Yesterday they had scratch fishing with mixed grade tuna from 10-30lbs fish at Benitos. So far this morning, very poor, no condition at Benitos on the move, will report again tomorrow. Due to technical difficulty with our Satellite connection, we have not been able to send out a report consistently. As soon as the issues have been resolved, we will begin posting.
Sept. 27, 2015 Good afternoon anglers sorry for the late report here but our Internet has been down for the day and we haven't had to much to report we had such a good day yesterday that we looked at new water today for a combined catch of 2 dorado and 5 yellows tagged with one black seabass released .... and as far as the tuna grounds go down here its seem to have fizzled out but we're hoping for a late hit and the search will continue on
Sept. 26, 2015 evening reports as follows.... had a great day of wide open fishing for quality yellowtail this morning till early afternoon once we finished up with yellows we headed offshore to look for some kelps and found a few nice ones with very few fish on them but none the less we got a few handfuls of dorado and a couple tuna for our efforts this evening. so tomorrow were goin to look at a warm strip of 80 degree water with a slight edge to it and see if we can't get lucky and find some more dorado or maybe an elusive wahoo so wish us luck and hope to have a good mid morning report for you all tomorrow
