Summer -
Fall 2020
Nov. 1, 2020
We had a successful yet hard earned night of
Bluefin fishing for our jackpots. Lots of winding and grinding in
order to get any payoff. Good weather for most of the night.
Oct. 30, 2020
Heading up after a morning of yellows and
afternoon of wahoo. Maybe find a few trophy Bluefin to settle
the jackpots.
Oct. 29, 2020
Nice day on the wahoo and quality yellows.
Great weather and conditions are improving.
Oct. 28, 2020
First couple of days brought us nice grade of
yellowtail and dorado. Looking forward to our day at Alijos Rocks
tomorrow.
Oct. 24, 2020
We fished kelps and got a few more wahoo.
Finished up on dorado and moved up the line for the evening.
Ended the day with good grade of yellowtail. Nice day of
fishing.
Oct. 23, 2020
Another night of yellowfin tuna and yellowtail
on the anchor. Wahoo picked up a bit today with more chances, a
better grade and a few trophies landed on the troll.
Oct. 22, 2020
Last night we had a steady pick on decent grade
yellowfin tuna. By midnight the guys were exhausted and called it a
night. In the morning we picked away at a few more tuna before
heading off on a Ridge run for wahoo. Pretty lean on the wahoo
here but did managed a few for our efforts.
Oct. 21, 2020
We had a nice day on the Ridge for tuna and
dorado. Not much on the wahoo. Hopefully tomorrow our chances will
improve. Great weather and calm seas.
Oct. 9, 2020
We leave tomorrow on another 8 day trip.
Looking forward to what’s in store
on the New Moon. Hopefully this week we see more chances on
the wahoo. It was tough fishing on the
wahoo this week. We did manage a
dozen of them between the Rocks and the ridge. Unfortunately we had
to cover a lot of area for the chances we had.
Oct. 1, 2020
We found a nice couple of kelps with really nice dorado . We kept
working up and will be fishing Dorado again tomorrow before we head
home.
Sept. 30, 2020
We started the morning with a few nice yellows. it never developed into
much with waves of Bonito invading the shallows. Sal with this nice
34 pounder on the Yo-Yo jig
Sept. 29, 2020
Tomorrow the weather looks real nice and we have plans to look for kelps for
Dorado and maybe wahoo. We are headed for a body of warm clean water
and have high hopes
Sept. 28, 2020
Today we saw more chances at wahoo on the outside but nothing to go with them. The sharks took the yellowtail option off the table.
Headed back into the ridge for tomorrow . Hoping
for some action on school size tuna and yellowtail. Of course
hoping for a few wahoo.
Sept. 26, 2020
The first couple days brought some school size yellowfin with small ridge grade yellowtail and a few wahoo pretty tough on the ridge right now.

Not much for wahoo on the Kelps but we did get our trolling jackpot out
of the way. The dorado were very nice though. You did have to be
selective.
The yellows have been nice with great top water action fishing in
shallow water
Aug. 29, 2020
We were fortunate enough to find a couple schools of jumbos that
wanted to cooperate. Everybody was able to get a nice fish on the
kite. All fish were over 100lbs with 3 cows and 1 super. Great day
with great people.
Aug. 20, 2020
Great fishing to finish up Larry Browns back to back three day trips.
We had openings on these two trips and ended up for those who missed
out, missed out big time . Maybe next time
Aug. 14, 2020
Had a nice day today on Yellows. Anchor fishing for these nice fish
was challenging.
We will be in at 6:30 and
will be leaving on another three day trip tomorrow

the local grounds and then another stop this morning for some
smaller grade yellowfin. With the weather up we

Offshore the last few days. Nice grade of Yellowfin tuna and
Yellowtail. Fly line live bait fishing at its finest. Haven’t landed
a Bluefin yet but we see a good amount around. Wish us luck
We found
some Bluefin tuna and went into a plunker

Typical early summer Alijos Rocks yellowtail fishing today.
The consistency of high quality fish
is hard to find elsewhere.
Making a move tonight to position
ourselves for more variety for the rest of the trip.
Excellent day. |

Great start to the trip this morning. Arrived at our first
destination with a bingo on wahoo and trolled up a few more. Very
encouraging sign of things to come. Got the anchor down after the
wahoo got sore. We were greeted by these giants. Dropper loops and
yo-yo jigs with heavy line enabled us to land these home guard
yellowtail. Most of the fish were in the 30lb range with a few
pushing 40lbs. Going to spend the night and see what tomorrow holds.

The 1.5 day was a great success with Bluefin Tuna in the morning .
Then ,Yellowtail , Yellowfin and Dorado from lunchtime on. We had a
chance to do the tuna shuffle and then do some paddy hopping. Making
for a great variety for 1.5 day fishing.
Video highlights of the trip.
